Smithfield Studio Ltd (“Smithfield”, “we”, “our”, “us”) website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA,

But we know we can do more which this statement hopes to outline.

As we progress on our accessibility journey we recognise that we sometimes fall short of fully meeting every accessibility need.

This statement serves as a living roadmap that we will continually update as we identify and address issues.

Human First Design & Development

We aim to create websites that put humans first. All websites we build (including this one) should be accessible and user-friendly for everyone, including people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

We’re committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all.

Known A11y Issues

We are actively improving our website to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standards. Our accessibility audit has identified several issues on our site, and we have created a plan for rolling out iterative fixes to align with our accessibility goals:

• Text contrast within dynamic colour sections often raises false positives in automated tools, but on further investigation some are valid issues and will be addressed
• Image alt text if often insufficient, we need to improve descriptions to be more helpful
• Simple controls to adjust text & colour:
  • Page zoom up to 300%
  • Text size
  • Line height
  • High contrast mode (light & dark)
  • Text only (remove video & images)
• Better keyboard navigation
